The origins of the firm date back to 1998, when BP America announced it was moving its North American headquarters from Cleveland to Chicago. This resulted in Joseph G. Curatolo, Senior Patent and License Counsel of BP America at the time, to go into private practice.
For decades, we have represented diverse clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to individual entrepreneurs in all aspects of intellectual property in the U.S. and around the world.
