Pierce & Shows Attorneys

Pierce & Shows was formed in the fall of 1992, when Christopher Shows left the insurance defense field and teamed with James W. Pierce to serve the client base developed by Mr. Pierce in his 15 years as a trial lawyer. In 1996, Mr. Pierce relocated his family to Wilmington, North Carolina, maintaining an of-counsel relationship with the firm for some years before his retirement from the practice of law. Peter T. Dudley joined Pierce & Shows in 1998, at which time the practice areas were expanded to include business litigation, criminal defense, and workers' compensation. Bret Walsh joined the firm in 2010 after many years of practicing insurance defense in Baton Rouge and the South Louisiana area.
