We maintain acute awareness of changes within and affecting our clients' industries and issue timely electronic updates (E-lerts) advising of changing regulations and policy, including how the changes might affect our clients' companies, industries or municipalities. History

We have forged our own path, and remain committed to keeping small-firm qualities while providing our clients with the extensive resources found at larger firms. GrayRobinson's strength is built upon the collective histories of our offices across the State of Florida and Washington, DC, and our roots run deep in each community we serve.

August 1970
Charles Gray, Richard Adams, Gordon Harris and Richard Robinson join their practices to become Gray, Adams, Harris & Robinson P.A.

January 1990
The Firm expands its presence on Florida's Space Coast by merging with Kirschenbaum and Peeples, an established Brevard County firm.

January 1996
GrayRobinson merges with the Melbourne firm of Nohrr & Nohrr. A few months later, the Firm moves its Brevard County headquarters to Melbourne.

February 1996
The Firm continues its statewide expansion, establishing an office in Tallahassee to create a permanent presence in the state capital and further expand the Firm's state governmental practice.

September 2000
The Firm expands into the Tampa market, merging with Shackleford, Farrior, Stallings & Evans, a firm with nearly a century of history in Tampa. The merger solidifies GrayRobinson's presence along the "Interstate 4 Corridor" - a magnet for a number of new companies and industries.

January 2001
GrayRobinson merges with Lane, Trohn, Bertrand & Vreeland. Formed in 1926, it is one of the largest firms in Lakeland.

December 2003
GrayRobinson establishes its Key West office to serve its neighbors in the southernmost point in the continental United States.

August 2004
GrayRobinson opens its office in Naples to service a growing economy in Southwest Florida, providing services to existing and new clients in the practice areas of health care, land use and state and local government law.

November 2004
GrayRobinson opens its third new office in 12 months in the Bank of America Tower in downtown Jacksonville. To meet the growing demands of the Jacksonville market, the office originally serviced clients in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, employment law, bankruptcy and financial restructuring.

June 2005
The Firm opens its 10th office to serve the dynamic marketplace of Fort Lauderdale, planting GrayRobinson in the heart of South Florida's growth.

June 2005
The Firm adds a national alcohol beverage and food law practice led by Richard Blau. This addition expands GrayRobinson's capabilities, providing the guidance and resources needed to navigate all tiers and levels of the alcohol beverage and food law industry nationally and internationally.

October 2007
As a clear next step to grow the Florida firm, GrayRobinson continues its strategic expansion across Florida with the opening of its Miami office. The Miami market expansion allows the Firm to respond to clients' needs as well as market trends throughout the state.

January 2013
GrayRobinson opens its Gainesville office in newly renovated space in the Ayers Technology Plaza in UF's Innovation Square. The move strengthens the Firm's Central Florida presence and intellectual property services provided to tech companies.

April 2013
The Firm strengthens its position in South Florida by officially opening the doors to a new GrayRobinson office in Boca Raton.

November 2013
GrayRobinson announces its acquisition of Hirschhorn & Bieber, P.A., a Miami-based criminal and civil white collar defense law firm. Hirschhorn & Bieber formed on January 1, 2000, and represents clients in criminal and civil white collar defense litigation.

September 2015
The Firm expands across South Florida with the opening of its Fort Myers office to better serve a growing number of clients in one of Florida's fastest-growing and innovative cities.

May 2016
Dean Cannon's lobbying firm Capitol Insight joins GrayRobinson's Tallahassee office, creating an unmatched network of professional relationships, lobbying proficiency and legal background in Florida's capital.

January 2018
GrayRobinson opens its West Palm Beach office as a direct result of clients' increasing legal needs in the South Florida market, with three prominent litigators from Richman Greer. The new GrayRobinson shareholders include a former Florida Bar president, a recent past president of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and a member of The Florida Bar Board of Governors.

February 2019
GrayRobinson acquires Washington, DC based lobbying firm, Eris Group, LLC. The acquisition benefits both firms and their clients, integrating strong federal lobbying experience and helping clients succeed at the intersection of law and politics. The acquisition extends GrayRobinson's capabilities beyond Florida, and expands its capacity to serve clients with federal lobbying needs.

April 2019
GrayRobinson and Thompson, Sizemore, Gonzalez & Hearing (TSG&H) announce a strategic alliance to augment GrayRobinson's labor and employment practice and provide TSG&H with additional resources and administrative support for continued growth. TSG&H brings nine attorneys with a statewide reputation for labor and employment representation in the public and private sectors, to GrayRobinson's Tampa office.

Roy Kobert - Served on The Florida Bar Diversity and Inclusion Committee and helped to establish a trial skills program for minority trial lawyers, the first of its kind in Orlando.
Marlene Quintana - Marlene is GrayRobinson's Statewide Recruiting Director. She is a past president of the Miami Chapter of one of the largest minority bar associations in the country, the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) and former member of the CABA Board of Directors. Marlene was the recipient of the "2014 Florida's Most Powerful & Influential Woman" award by the National Diversity Council, and was named to the "50 Influentials List" by HispanicBusiness.
Sarah Reiner - Sarah is a past president of the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
Gary Resnick - Member of The Florida Bar's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Rebecca Rodriguez - Rebecca is a member of The Florida Bar's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Grace Yang - Grace is a member of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers since 2000, Director of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Tampa Bay since 2012, was named to the 2013 Lawyers of Color inaugural "Hot List" and named Tampa Bay Business Journal's 2015 Businesswoman of the Year for legal services.

GrayRobinson is also a founding member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. The Council, formed in 2009, is an organization of corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners dedicated to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The Council is committed to eliminating impediments precluding minorities and women from having an opportunity to perform, to succeed and to lead.
Community Commitment

As a Firm deeply rooted in Florida, we believe in supporting and giving back to the communities in which we live and work each day. Innovative programs like Casual Day for a Cause have begun a tradition where employees have given generously to any number of food distribution centers, homeless shelters, children's homes, animal and wildlife charities, crisis centers, educational programs, programs for the elderly, programs for the disabled or children facing terrible diseases, to name but a few.

Since the Casual Day for a Cause began, our employees have raised over $525,000. In addition, Firm employees select organizations each holiday season to support by delivering toys and household necessities. In June 2016, following the tragedy at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer announced the formation of the OneOrlando Fund. GrayRobinson, through employees and a corporate gift, proudly donated over $25,000 to the fund, which provides support to the victims of the tragedy and their families. Members of the Firm continue to play a key role in the administration of the OneOrlando Fund.
