Neil E. MacMillan started the firm, now known as MacMillan & Stanley, in Delray Beach in 1946. He was the third attorney in Delray Beach. In the post war years that followed, Neil expanded the practice to a multi-service law firm, with several partners and associates. He was active in community affairs, including Bethesda Memorial Hospital and several banks. For many years, the practice emphasized banking law, hospital law, real estate law and estate planning. As the century came to a close, the firm's concentration on all facets of real estate law and estate planning continued. Now the firm is proudly continuing into its third generation, consisting of Neil's daughter, Carol Stanley, and Neil's grandson, Thomas Stanley. The tradition that Neil started is based on integrity, knowledge, and progress.
