Firm Founder

Samuel J. Kaufman graduated from UCLA undergrad school and then went on to Law School at the University of Miami, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He served as an Assistant Public Defender for three years prior to opening his own practice in 2003. Sam's zealousness, drive and intelligence quickly gained recognition in the Florida Keys community. As a result, the firm experienced steady annual growth from word of mouth referrals. Over the last 18 years, Sam has represented hundreds of clients in areas of Criminal Defense, Family Law & Mediation, Estate Planning, Probate Administration, Wills and Trusts, Personal Injury, Civil Litigation as well as other legal matters. He is personally involved in each and every case which assures our clients of the best possible outcome and result. He is direct, honest, and most importantly experienced.

Sam is also an advocate for the local community. He cares deeply about Key West, serving on various boards with specific missions to help both individuals and improve the community. He is currently serving a 2nd term as one of Key West's City Commissioners.
