John Adams Hodge is a leader in environmental and aviation law. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® - Environmental Law. Mr. Hodge has practiced environmental law for over 35 years and aviation law for over 30 years. He brings a unique set of scientific and technical skills to the practice of law. He is a Registered Professional Geologist (P.G.) and formerly served as an Adjunct Professor in the Environment and Sustainability Program and Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. For many years he taught a graduate class in Environmental Regulations and Planning. He is also an active pilot and a retired airline pilot and instructor who has a wealth of aviation industry and flight experience. He is a former staff counsel and hearing officer for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and a Certified Circuit Court Arbitrator. Mr. Hodge is active in a variety of legal, scientific, and civic organizations. He was selected by NASA as a Solar System Ambassador and serves as a volunteer speaker on planetary science. Mr. Hodge received South Carolina's highest civilian award, The Order of the Palmetto.
