San Luis Obispo Defenders, A Professional Law Corporation

San Luis Obispo Defenders, a Professional Law Corporation, is located in the JP Andrews building directly across from the San Luis Obispo Superior Court. San Luis Obispo Defenders has been defending the community since 1988. Our job as Public Defenders is to provide legal services for people charged with crimes ranging from the simplest misdemeanor to complex capital cases. In order to qualify to receive the assistance of a Public Defender a person must be facing the possibility of a jail sentence. A Public Defender must be appointed to you by a judge. We do not represent people in traffic court. In addition to representing adults in criminal court our firm represents defendants in juvenile court, as well as conservatorship cases.
