Attorney Lavonne Thomas is Detroit born and bred. She grew up on Detroit's westside of town and is a proud Detroit Public Schools graduate of Northwestern High School. Determined to not become a product of her environment, Lavonne was blessed to earn both an academic and athletic scholarship to Florida A&M University (FAMU). She remained there for six years while earning her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education.
