I also believe that lawyers owe a duty to the improve civil justice system and their community. For eight years I served as a member of the Tenth Judicial District Nominating Commission and since July of 2018 have served as the Chairman of the Johnson County Ethics and Grievance Committee. I previously served as a commissioner and chair of the Kansas Lawyers Victim Compensation Fund and as an Investigator for the Johnson County Bar Ethics & Grievance Committee. I am a Past President of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association as well as a former Chair of the Small Firm and Solo Practitioner Section for the American Association For Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America) and past member of the ATLA Board of Governors.
