Attorney Cherise Challenger was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where she attended Chicago State University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Cherise graduated from the University of Arkansas, School of Law in 2008 where she excelled in the Criminal Defense and Criminal Prosecution clinic as well as the Negotiations and Trial Advocacy Competitions. During her law school summers, Cherise clerked with a United States District Judge and a criminal defense law firm. As a result, she grew a strong passion for the law. After graduation, Cherise moved to San Antonio, Texas and began working as an Attorney Developer for Thomson Reuters, parent company to Westlaw Research. Cherise moved around the country with her husband, who was active duty in the military. She stayed active in legal organizations as a military spouse and worked in the civil litigation department of various law firms.
