eorge J. Hughes received his undergraduate degree at Catholic University, where he served as class president for three years, lettered in basketball and tennis and was a valedictory candidate. He received his JD degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1960, where he won both the Beaudry Cup, the Moot Court competition for freshmen, the Public Law Argument Competition, and the Moot Court competition for upperclassmen.
