Prior to founding our immigration firm, Attorney Robert Brown worked for decades at what was formerly known as the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), now known as the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). He started as a Special Agent, rose to the title of Deputy Chief of Investigations at their Washington D.C. office, became the INS District Director in Cleveland, OH, and eventually was the regional director at INS in Burlington, Vermont.

During his time spent at INS, Mr. Brown was influential in creating the I-9 compliance procedures at the agency. This experience was influential in creating Attorney Robert Brown's passion for immigration law. Utilizing his extensive knowledge, he eventually decided to move towards providing legal representation and founded Brown Immigration Law in 2002.
