Scott | Kroner, PLC, traces its beginnings to April, 1951, when C. Armonde Paxson, who had been in practice in Charlottesville since his graduation from law school in 1930, formed the firm of Paxson, Marshall & Smith with David B. Marshall and William Massie Smith. The firm has evolved and expanded to include a growing and diverse client base. Now named Scott | Kroner, PLC, in recognition of principal members W. Stephen Scott (retired 2014) and Robert J. Kroner, our firm is regularly recognized as one of the premier firms in the region.
