About Cantor & Webb, P.A

Bilzin Sumberg works with clients whose business and legal opportunities and challenges span the United States and cross borders to Europe, Latin America, Canada, the Middle East, and Asia. The firm's growth has paralleled that of its Miami home base, a region known for its rich cultural, social, and professional diversity. Bilzin Sumberg lawyers concentrate on services at the heart of both regional and international commerce, including real estate, land development and government relations, environmental, corporate law, joint ventures, domestic and international tax and estate planning, business litigation, finance, and public-private partnerships.
OUR PEOPLE

In order to maintain a reputation for market leadership, whether we're orchestrating a wide range of sophisticated deals, resolving mission-critical disputes, assisting clients with important governmental negotiations, or helping them with wide-ranging corporate and personal matters, such as international tax and wealth-management planning, we recruit peerless talent. Our attorneys are Miami-based preeminent lawyers with national and international reputations for efficiently solving complex problems and issues with the utmost professionalism and an innovative creativity. And we know that by assembling an extraordinary cohort of lawyers and other business professionals, we are able to attract informed clients who appreciate and demand legal and business excellence.

Today, we are proud to be judged by the individuals and entities that choose us as their counsel as well as by our own Bilzin Sumberg colleagues. In the past decade, our firm has grown from a local legend into a national powerhouse of professionals with a diverse array of specialized backgrounds.
OUR VISION

Eschewing growth for its own sake, we have chosen to grow in concert with our clients' needs-to be nimble instead of large. And because we believe wholeheartedly that lawyers who work closely together to build an enduring culture-one based on shared knowledge and respect-are best able to appreciate and exceed their clients' expectations, we have developed a business model that is an expression of our commitment to client service: one office housing a carefully curated team of lawyers skilled at collaboration and ready and able to serve clients wherever and whenever needed. As a result, we maintain our home base in Miami, and let technology and transportation connect us with clients all over the United States and throughout the world.

We will continue to pay close attention to the issues affecting our clients' businesses and industries, and we will evolve in ways that anticipate and fulfill their requirements. Whether you seek a special relationship with your outside counsel or a new platform for your practice, we invite you to keep company with a host of other discerning clients and a team of Bilzin Sumberg professionals ready to help you realize your most important goals.
LEGAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Bilzin Sumberg's LPM model focuses on up-front planning and budgeting, disciplined team management and client debriefing. We develop a road map for engagements that is reviewed with the client, so that each stage of the project is completely transparent. We approach client representation with a clear understanding of client business goals, as well as an understanding of the industries in which our clients compete, enabling us to provide value to each client.

Our LPM program has received significant industry recognition as a result of our deep commitment to widespread adoption of LPM throughout the firm. Over 50 percent of our partners have been trained by industry experts and use LPM best practices - guides, templates, checklists, processes and technologies - to improve predictability, accountability, communication and transparency.

Our firm uses leading LPM software platforms that utilize top knowledge management techniques and industry best practices to increase the efficiency of our service delivery and control costs. Most importantly, successful project management encourages frequent, transparent communication with clients.

For disputes, it means that you have greater control of the process and the outcome.

For transactions, it means realistic budgets, fewer surprises and a smoother journey to the closing.

For all matters, it means candid post-completion assessments and the opportunity for real process improvement.
BILZIN SUMBERG CARES
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'" - Martin Luther King, Jr.

We sought to answer that question by creating Bilzin Sumberg Cares, a community involvement program that provides our attorneys, staff and their families with opportunities to work together to benefit charitable organizations in the South Florida community.

Now in its eleventh year, Bilzin Sumberg Cares has partnered with organizations including Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America, Florida Foster Care Review, the Miami-Dade Special Olympics, Voices for Children Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, United Way of Miami-Dade, and numerous other non-profit organizations. Our recent projects have included painting, landscaping and building new outdoor seating at Scott Lake Elementary, a Montessori magnet school in Miami Gardens, landscaping at Norwood Elementary school in Miami Gardens, painting the TACOLCY community center in Miami's Liberty City, sponsoring a book bag drive at Southside Elementary school in support of United Way's Early Literacy campaign, and assisting track and field athletes during the Miami-Dade Special Olympics. In June of 2016 the Miami-Dade School Board presented Bilzin Sumberg with a proclamation for our work at Scott Lake Elementary school to recognize the commitment of our attorneys, staff and their families to supporting the local community.

Chaired by Corporate & Tax partner Marshall Pasternack, Bilzin Sumberg Cares underscores our commitment to shaping more than just the skyline of our community.

The Thirteenth Annual #BilzinSumbergCares Project Day took place this year at the New Horizons Community Mental Health Center. Mural paintings, gardening and landscaping work were completed for the center.

PRO BONO
As a preeminent Miami law firm, our commitment to the community also reflects on our practices and the types of projects in which we are involved. Our communities face a myriad of opportunities and challenges, and it is our pleasure to place our professions at the service of those in need. Through our Matters of the Heart Program, Bilzin Sumberg identifies opportunities to assist organizations, individuals, and communities through Pro Bono work.
OUR HISTORY
Bilzin Sumberg was founded by a group of lawyers from New York who set out to establish a law firm that viewed legal excellence and unparalleled service delivery as equal imperatives. Success would take the form of enduring client relationships. That degree of client loyalty would only reward a firm focused on delivering a universally satisfying experience to every client.

Whether corporations, other kinds of entities, or individuals, earning our clients' ongoing satisfaction requires Bilzin Sumberg lawyers and staff to tailor our services to each client's individual needs and preferences.

Staying true to our founders' objectives requires us to remember at all times the inspiration for Bilzin Sumberg's creation - to help our clients achieve their most important objectives. And that achievement has been accelerated by a steadfast commitment to the principle that informs our invitation to clients, prospects, and recruits alike that we are "proud to be judged by the company we keep."
