About Mordini Schwartz Vine

Twenty years ago, Mark Mordini and Brad Schwartz were straight out of law school when they met as associates at Moss & Hillison - a firm notorious for its willingness to go to trial. Those early years were like boot camp. The experience was similar to a medical resident spending four years at the Cook County Hospital emergency room. Mark and Brad learned fast and they both tried a lot of cases. Mark and Brad were lured by an insurance company client to form an in-house defense firm. The firm became known as Galvin, Mordini, Schwartz & Meade.

Eager to re-enter private practice, Mark A. Mordini and L. Bradley Schwartz formed Mordini & Schwartz in 1996. Their relationship has lasted more than fifteen years and continues to this day. In 2014, Mark Mordini and Eli Vine formed Mordini Schwartz Vine.

Mordini Schwartz Vine attorneys have tried literally hundreds of cases to verdict in every venue in northern Illinois. Every member of the firm is expected to regularly try cases so that even the youngest associates have extensive courtroom experience. Although the firm's client base has broadened and its practice areas have expanded, Mordini Schwartz Vine remains a tight and personable firm with some of the hardest working lawyers in the business.
Defense Philosophy

The lawyers at Mordini Schwartz Vine are not scared of the courtroom. As young lawyers, the partners were either on trial or getting ready for trial every single day. They began to understand the value of preparation. As the firm matured, Mark and Brad applied their courtroom experience and created a simple but important philosophy: Every case is defended with the assumption that it will go to trial. Because each case is prepared for trial from the beginning, settlement is possible at any time on the carrier's terms. If eventual settlement were the only goal, the competitive edge would be lost. Preparation for trial allows the firm to settle cases for far less than full value.
