The firm has been a leader in the Orange County legal community for over 50 years. Knobbe Martens moved its headquarter office from Newport Beach to Irvine in 2002. More than 180 intellectual property lawyers and patent scientists and their support staff occupy seven floors of the Orange County office. The office provides two large conference centers, a classroom and private conference rooms for meetings, seminars and depositions. The lawyers in the Orange County office provide full service intellectual property law services for the firm's clients, including litigation, patents and trademarks, licensing, venture capital due diligence and related client counseling. Knobbe Martens' lawyers are actively involved in many local industry, venture capital, diversity and legal organizations such as: OCTANe, Association for Corporate Counsel (ACC SoCal), Calit2 (California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology), LESI (Licensing Executives Society International), Orange County Coalition for Diversity in the Law, TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), OCBA (Orange County Bar Association), OCPLA (Orange County Patent Law Association), and TCVN (Tech Coast Venture Network).
