Mahoney Hadlow Chambers & Adams, Florida's first statewide law firm and then its oldest law firm, is the source of pride for the governmental lawyers of Tallahassee. Located three blocks away from the capitol building of the Nation's third most populous state, the single office serves a variety of clients throughout the Southeast, including local entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 companies, and local governments. In 1979, the firm's four founders Wade Hopping, Bill Boyd, Bill Green, and Gary Sams established a more collaborative and collegial law firm, believing that it would best provide government-related legal services to clients by avoiding the potential complications of a traditional law firm's internal dynamics. This vision of the founders has endured, as the firm and its lawyers have been recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, Martindale-Hubbell, Florida Trend Magazine's Legal Elite, and U.S. News & World Report. The firm recruits lawyers from diverse backgrounds and experiences, which include a former Florida Supreme Court Justice, an All-America football player, a widely-known cosmologist, a Harvard-educated rock band manager, several engineers, newspaper reporters, a sewer engineer, and even a boll weevil inspector. Despite their different paths, all of the lawyers share the same vision for how to practice law and treat their peers. This has allowed the firm to remain tight-knit and creative, always championing their clients' causes and achieving successful outcomes, which has resulted in many clients staying with them for years.
