The firm with its managing partner, Steven D. Steve also served as a Counsel in Albany in 1990 when Equitable Distribution first became law. Since then he has been involved in legislation impacting No Fault divorce resulting in the new set of grounds for divorce, "irretrievably broken", equality of marriage, temporary child support and maintenance, as well as authoring articles, conducting numerous Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses in the matrimonial field, and appearing in Court as lead attorney, and as Of-Counsel, to negotiate, settle and try matrimonial matters. He practices in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Family Court, Civil and many administrative tribunals, along with the Appellate Division and the Eastern and Southern Districts of the United States District Court.

Richard S. Goldberg, together with Steven D. Cohn are the founding partners of Goldberg & Cohn, LLP. Richard S. Goldberg brings to the Firm almost forty (40) years of experience in the areas of Matrimonial & Family Law and Criminal Law. Mr. Goldberg, frequently acts in an Of Counsel capacity to out-of-county and out-of-state firms. In the realm of Family & Matrimonial Law, Mr. Goldberg is considered an expert in his own right.

Walter J. Roesch IV, is Goldberg & Cohn's associate attorney. His experience in Matrimonial and Family Law and the personal service he offers our client is invaluable. He has practiced in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Family Court, Civil and many administrative tribunals. He is also admitted to practice in the local and federal courts in the State of New Jersey. His superior communication skills, oral and written, allow him to litigate, negotiate and arbitrate between all parties.

Goldberg & Cohn is privileged to have as Of-Counsel, the Honorable Howard Golden, a former New York City Councilman, Kings County Democratic Chairman and Past-President of the Borough of Brooklyn. Howard continues to be of great service to the firm, with his extraordinary knowledge and presence in the Greater New York community. He is able to utilize his many years of public service, to augment the efforts of the entire team at Goldberg & Cohn. He is also active in helping to make Brooklyn the great place that it is.

Also serving in an Of-Counsel capacity, is Elliott S. Martin of the Law Firm of Elliott S. Martin, who maintains his own practice in our suite of offices. He practices in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, and the Eastern and Southern Districts of the United States District Court. Elliott is well known for his tenacious trial skills and advocacy on behalf of clients in very complex commercial, real estate, environmental, labor and estate/probate litigation, amongst other areas.

Within Elliott Martin's practice, also serving as Of-Counsel is Benjamin Oxenburg. As an associate, he is well versed in litigation, complex and otherwise. He is integral in the drafting of pleadings and motions, in cases in both the Supreme Court of the State of New York, and the Appellate Divison, Supreme Court.

Anchoring Goldberg & Cohn, LLP is our Operations Manager and Senior Paralegal, Marc J. Liebman. Marc's background is centered in his paralegal and litigation skills, that he has developed throughout his career, working in established firms such as, Orrick Herrington, Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal, Bingham McCutchen, Greenberg Traurig, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Coopers & Lybrand, Morrison Foerster and GMAC Commercial Finance, amongst others.
