Vacation Policy

Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell (JMBM) is a law firm based in Los Angeles, California. It is one of the largest firms in the US with more than 200 attorneys. JMBM has an overall positive review from attorneys and others who have worked at the firm. Those who have worked at the firm have praised its high level professionals and good work culture. The firm is also taking steps to improve its internal experience with the addition of new perks such as snacks, beverages, and quality merchandise, as well as the hiring of a Talent Engagement Lead.

However, there have been some negative reviews from employees as well. The firm has adopted a rigid return to work 100% time policy that is not compatible with the post-COVID reality of legal work. Additionally, management is not allowing staff to work remotely for more than one day a week, and there is a lack of flexibility when it comes to vacation policy. Salaries are also on the lower end even with recent salary increases.

Overall, JMBM has received positive reviews from those who have worked at the firm. They offer a lot of opportunity to learn new things and develop your skill set and continuous growth. Remarkable employees who perform well are compensated with substantial year-end bonuses.ConsManagement will not allow the staff to work remotely more than 1 day a week, and there's no exceptions for ANY flexibility. There's a micromanaging leadership style that is too rigid and feels suffocating.
