Thomas Rhudy Bryan Sr. began his law practice in 1936. Joe Oliver Brewer began practicing in 1962. They would each have their own separate solo practices and partnerships until the father and son-in-law finally partnered in 1972 to form Brewer & Bryan. Mr. Bryan retired in 1977 and Joe managed the firm with various partners until he was joined by his son, Gregory Joseph Brewer, in 1988 and it became Brewer & Brewer. Joe would continue his dedication to the practice of law until his passing in 2015. Brewer & Brewer once again became a father and son team when Joseph Zachary Brewer joined in 2016. Joe's wife, Lillie Bryan Brewer, was an invaluable member of the firm from 1990 until her retirement in 2018 and passing in 2019.
