Blank Rome Adds Associate to Insurance Recovery Practice
Summary: Blank Rome added a new associate to their national insurance recovery practice in the New York office.
Blank Rome LLP announced the addition of a new associate to their firm. Daniel R. Belzil will join the New York office as an associate in the Insurance Recovery group.
Belzil joins Blank Rome from Weg and Myers P.C., a New York-based policyholder recovery boutique. There he gained valuable experience in sophisticated policyholder-only cases and gained favorable outcomes for his clients. He will use this experience to focus his practice on insurance policyholder’s first and third-party insurance litigation matters.
Belzil earned his J.D. from Vermont Law School, where he was the articles editor for the Vermont Law Review, and his B.A. from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada in economics. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
The addition of Belzil comes at a time when the firm has been actively strengthening its national insurance recovery practice. They welcomed the promotion of Omid Safa to a partner in Washington D.C. and the additions of Linda Kornfeld and David A. Thomas as partners in Los Angeles. They also added Julia Holt as of counsel in Los Angeles.
