Barnes & Thornburg’s Dallas Office Welcomes New Partner
Summary: Barnes & Thornburg has strengthened their Dallas office with the addition of a new corporate partner.
Barnes & Thornburg LLP added a corporate and transactional attorney to their Dallas office. Attorney John Dickey will be a partner in the Corporate Department. He joins from Polsinelli LLP where he was a partner in their Corporate and Transactional Practice. He has also served as associate general counsel for General Dynamics, where he had extensive responsibility for their international business matters.
Dickey will focus his practice on domestic and international businesses in corporate finance, private equity, and capital markets-related matters such as acquisitions, mergers, capital raises, divestitures, reorganizations, joint ventures, and reorganizations.
Managing Partner Mark Bayer of the Dallas office said, “John is a highly skilled corporate and transactional attorney who brings more than three decades of experience to the firm. His work with domestic and international businesses paired with his deep corporate governance knowledge complements our expanding corporate practice and adds value for our clients.”
Dickey will also handle complex regulatory and corporate governance issues for clients in the financial services industry like private equity funds, family offices, and nonprofits.
He earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University, an M.P.A. from Texas Christian University where he was served as a University Fellow, and a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University.
