Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, including providing legal advice, preparing and filing legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings.
• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation defense cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Prepare and argue motions, participate in hearings, and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in firm meetings and strategy sessions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
• Licensed to practice law in Mississippi.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) or higher.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Mississippi.
