Personal Injury Attorney

Atlanta office of our client seeks a personal injury attorney with 1-3 years of plaintiff experience. The candidate will be responsible for answering questions regarding potential clients. Review facts for liability issues and facts for coverage issues. Review facts for any potential statute of limitations SOL) issues. Schedule an in-person meeting for potential clients who have, or have had, a previous attorney. Notify Department Head, Managing Partner, Owner for any potential catastrophic cases (death, paralyzation, amputation). Be responsible for signing letters of protection from treatment providers. Work with a legal assistant to get the client's necessary and reasonable treatment. Work with a legal assistant in communicating facts of the case with treatment providers. Be responsible for working with legal assistants to confirm coverage from the at-fault party. Be responsible for reviewing declaration pages from all interested parties. Be responsible for working with legal assistants, clients, and treatment providers to provide the maximum amount of medical care. Be responsible for reviewing demands to all interested parties which include, medical records and bills, All other evidence provided to the attorney in the demand. Be responsible for working with a case manager and client on negotiating the value of the pre-suit claim. Be responsible for working with the case manager on reductions from treatment providers. Conduct a lien search for any liens using the Georgia Superior Court Clerk's Cooperative Authority (GSCCCA) website. Coordinate with the litigation paralegal and conduct a conference with the client explaining the litigation process. Be responsible for communicating the outline of the case and any facts or issues that may be of concern. Be responsible for drafting complaints and other documents to initiate a lawsuit against at-fault parties. Be responsible for working with litigation paralegal to draft discovery requests and discovery responses. Be responsible for legal research regarding motions. Be responsible for appearing in court to handle motions, conferences, and trials. Be responsible for coordinating with the medical records department to collect certified copies of all medical records. Be reported weekly to the department head regarding the case status of all cases in litigation. Must have active and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. Must have admittance to the bar requirements in the region of jurisdiction. Have experience or expertise in a specific branch of law.

The candidate must have strong academic credentials, including a JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Have excellent legal research and writing capabilities.
