Oakland office of our client seeks associate attorney with experience. The candidate represents clients in legal matters either independently or under the supervision of the Principal or a senior associate. Provides effective legal consultation, services and advice to clients, and represents clients in state and federal court and agency litigation/proceedings, at a level consistent with own level of experience. Prepares all legal documents necessary for the effective representation of clients (including memoranda, legal briefs, opinion letters, and/or general correspondence). Maintains excellent working knowledge of substantive law, state and federal judicial systems(including local court rules) and procedures. Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, decision-makers, consultants and other counsel. Works under strenuous and stressful conditions and be able to effectively respond to client, office, and court needs on short notice when requested. Must be good standing (at all times) with the California State Bar and all state and federal courts.
