Wilmington office of our client seeks an associate attorney preferably with 1-5 years of practice experience. The candidate will assist in the practice areas of foreclosures, replevins, bankruptcy, collections, and general litigation matters focused on landlord/tenant law and other real estate-related issues. Will represent clients in court throughout the state of North Carolina. Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients. Legal research, advise clients on business and legal transactions. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes. Comply with all legal standards and regulations. Assist North Carolina Managing Attorney as needed. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina. Admission to the 3 Federal District Courts of North Carolina is a plus. A background in Real Estate Law is a plus.
The candidate should have a Juris Doctorate degree. Strong Research and Writing skills are essential. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills as the applicant will be expected to interact directly with clients, court personnel, and defendants on a daily basis.
