Torrance office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks conservatorships, probate, and estate planning associate attorney with 3-7 years of probate experience. The candidate will have broad exposure to Elder Law through assisting with conservatorships, trust, and probate administrations, as well as estate planning. Will have drafting pleadings to appoint conservators; temporary and permanent, limited, and general. Appearing at court hearings related to the conservatorship. Advising on proper conservatorship administration. Preparing court-supervised accounting petitions. Probate Administration work includes: Drafting petitions for probate and appearing in court at the related hearings; advising personal representatives on complying with the Probate Code over the course of the administration; and drafting status reports and petitions for final distribution. Estate Planning work includes: Explaining estate planning documents to clients and answering their questions related to the same. Overseeing estate plan signings. Directing paralegal regarding estate plan drafting. Public benefits/special needs planning is a plus. Experience with contested conservatorships is a plus.

The ideal candidate will be self-initiating and willing to manage their own caseload. Excellent attention to detail, sensitive interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly communicate with laypeople are all key traits for being successful.
