Tupelo office of our client seeks a personal injury attorney with 3-5 years of relevant experience. The candidate will assist injured clients with filing legal complaints, offer legal advice, prepare legal documents, and represent clients in court. Will answer the client's questions and guide through the personal injury process. Ensure proper legal representation in all auto accident and premise liability cases. Work with experts and partners to evaluate the merits of a potential case and develop case theories. Prepare witnesses and claimants for hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings. Take depositions of the claimant, physicians, medical experts, and other parties. Conduct discovery, and draft pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents. Negotiate settlements on behalf of the claimant. Perform any other duties, as assigned, and as related to the duties of the position. Must have obtained a Mississippi license to practice law by passing the Bar exam and be in good standing with the Mississippi Bar. Spanish speaking skills are a plus.

The candidate must have a four-year college degree from an accredited college or university with a three-year law school degree. Should have the ability to: read and comprehend simple and complex instructions, short and long correspondence, and memos; convey information in a clear, concise, and logical manner; effectively advocate a position or a cause; draft effective legal documents such as motions, briefs, memorandums, resolutions, and legal agreements; and develop logical thinking, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
