Personal Injury Attorney

Las Vegas office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a personal injury attorney with 2 years of pre-litigation and litigation experience. The candidate will manage a caseload of various types of personal injury matters in litigation. Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including filing complaints. Draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes. Prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings. Take and defend depositions throughout the course of litigation. Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions. Attend court appearances and prepare for trial. Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases. Perform administrative and management functions for the department. Direct and support investigation on all assigned litigation matters. Assess potential and current matters for valuation purposes to aid in early resolution. Identify and retain medical experts and/or legal experts for each particular matter, including their preparation for trial and/or depositions. Maintain communication with clients through the course of the claim and litigation, including all client-required reporting and budgeting guidelines. Perform legal research on relevant issues during the pre-litigation process throughout the course of litigation. Extensive experience taking and defending depositions is required. Current good standing with CA and NV State bar is required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

The candidate must have a JD degree. Must have a strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery. Must have the ability to manage discovery and assist with trial preparation. Must have an active, acute knowledge of medical experts. Must have active knowledge and ability to settle pre-litigation/litigation cases for full value. Must be able to work under pressure. Must be a self-starter with a high level of resourcefulness and initiative. Must be highly detail-oriented with superb organizational and project management skills. Must thrive on working hard to over-deliver and delight the client. Must be a great communicator so you can collaborate with other team members in a professional, efficient manner.
