Associate Attorney

Columbus office of our client seeks an associate attorney with 3+ year of experience in civil litigation, preferably from an insurance and business defense background. The candidate will assist in litigating civil cases in a wide array of legal practice areas including torts, contracts, and employment law. Should understand civil procedure at least conceptually from pleadings to trial. Must be familiar with the basics of propounding and responding to discovery in civil cases. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia. Additional states/jurisdictions are a plus.

The candidate must have a J.D. and Bachelor's degrees from an accredited institution. Should demonstrate strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills. Must be able to, after reasonable training, self-start and thrive in a busy environment managing a caseload while supporting the firm's goals. Computer literacy is required. Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with the basic functionality of other MS Office programs including PowerPoint is needed.
