Dallas office of our client seeks litigation and default services attorney with 3+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. The candidate will work alongside existing attorneys and support staff as well as with attorneys and staff in various other offices of the firm. Will assist existing attorneys with their caseloads, as well as independently carry a diverse caseload spanning multiple practice areas. Review documentation related to Texas default practice to ensure compliance with state and federal law. Will draft and review pleadings and other case related documents. Evaluate files, provide legal opinions, and rectify file level issues. Review loan documents, title reports, identify title issues, and make full recommendations on how to cure title issues to the client. Cure simple and complex title issues in a timely manner via litigation or non-litigated means. Create, review, and edit reports, correspondence, and other documents. Advise clients regularly on various issues relating to file level scenarios. Independently manage diverse workload. Independently monitor deadlines and dockets to ensure compliance. Work effectively and congenially with a team of attorneys and operational staff supporting various departments; promote interdepartmental cooperation. Attend and effectively represent clients at virtual and in-person hearings on various matters as needed. Ability to exercise professionalism and courtesy when faced with adversarial conversations and situations. Interpret, evaluate and apply independent judgment and decision-making regarding file level legal and compliance issues. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, clients, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility. Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed. Must be licensed in the state of Texas. Experience in litigation, collections, evictions, foreclosure, title, and/or financial services preferred. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws essential. Requires membership and good standing with the TX State Bar. Must preferably have 3+ years of related default related litigation, collections, evictions, foreclosure, title, and/or financial services. High-level proficiency in MS Office suite needed. Proficiency in internet research activities essential. Familiarity with case and document management software, including client systems (BKFS, Tempo, Vendorscape). Good understanding of policies and procedures of law essential.

The candidate should have ability to exercise professionalism and courtesy when faced with adversarial conversations and situations. Must have effectively monitor and move forward an independent caseload. Must be a self starter. Must have Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Must provide excellent customer service (internally and externally). Must be a self starter and possess good organizational and time-management abilities. Balance team and individual responsibilities; Contribute to building a positive team spirit. Must possess exceptional organizational skills; have the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to change. Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills needed.
