Job Overview: A law firm specializing in Workers' Compensation law seeks an experienced attorney to manage a caseload of claims, provide legal counsel, and ensure favorable outcomes for clients in Pittsburgh, PA.

Job Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of Workers' Compensation cases, conducting Preliminary Case Reviews (PCRs) and ensuring timely claim resolution.
  • Consult with partners to analyze case outcomes, develop strategies, and prepare legal documentation such as Complaints, Motions, Briefs, and Appeals.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met, and accurate Service of Process is conducted according to firm and legal standards.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress, addressing concerns, and documenting interactions.
  • Obtain, review, and summarize case materials to support claims, balancing costs and benefits for maximum client recovery.
  • Oversee coordination of benefits and ensure appropriate insurance payments for medical expenses.
  • Manage tracking of client out-of-pocket expenses and negotiate reductions of outstanding medical bills.
  • Coordinate with other attorneys and external experts/counsel as needed, ensuring effective case development and communication.
  • Lead and mentor support staff, fostering professional growth and innovation within the team.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, collaborate with external service providers, and identify business development opportunities.


  • 1-3 years of experience in Workers' Compensation law.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and authorized to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend client consultations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience handling complex Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and case management tools.
  • Proven track record of successful case outcomes and client satisfaction.
