A law firm based in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Solutions Attorney to provide advanced technical and workflow guidance to case teams and clients. The candidate will act as the primary liaison between client eDiscovery teams/counsel and case teams, ensuring client requirements are met and advising on eDiscovery strategies and best practices.

 

Job Details:

  • Act as the primary liaison between client eDiscovery teams/counsel and case teams, ensuring client requirements and protocols are executed on a matter level.
  • Provide training to case team members and Practice Support Services (PSS) staff on client directives for handling eDiscovery.
  • Assist case teams with Electronically Stored Information (ESI) protocols, orders, meetings, and overall strategy by understanding both legal and technology issues.
  • Monitor and assess emerging technology solutions for suitability in electronic discovery workflows, including natural language processing and artificial intelligence.
  • Advise on collection strategies for clients with recurring litigation needs and identify key custodians and sources of ESI.
  • Lead data mapping calls with clients and their IT teams to explore data sources and develop action plans for addressing challenges.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client data storage policies and protocols to advise on preservation and collection.
  • Advise on collaboration platforms, messaging platforms, social media platforms, and structured data sources for collection, review, and production.
  • Consult with case teams on review objectives and recommend strategies for using advanced document review technology.
  • Implement workflows for document review, including Technology Assisted Review (TAR), and ensure all team members are trained on review tools and workflow.
  • Evaluate search terms for effectiveness and prepare reports to inform legal teams and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Exhibit expert knowledge of ESI concepts, principles, management, and processing, as well as eDiscovery review platforms and related technologies.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills, including organizing, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and commitment to diversity.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admission to at least one US State Bar
  • 10+ years of litigation practice, paralegal, or practice support experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing large electronic document reviews and productions
