Melville office of an AmLaw firm seeks employment litigation associate attorney with 3-4 years of experience. The candidate will handle defense of agency charges of discrimination, lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and advice and counseling involving similar issues. Will represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, wage-hour, contract, employment tort, and restrictive covenant cases. Advise and train employers on a wide range of employment laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination laws. Effectively and persuasively write briefs and motions for the benefit of the clients. Cultivate productive and effective relationships with clients. Argue decisively at court hearings. Conduct fact gathering and advantageous depositions. Defend properly prepared client representatives at deposition. Should have New York Bar Admission. Understanding of current state and federal court and agency procedures is essential.

The candidate should have excellent academic credentials, excellent written and oral communication skills and strong time management and project management skills. Should have a JD degree from an accredited law school. Outstanding academic credentials are needed. Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills are essential.
