Hempstead office of our client seeks junior attorney with 1-2 years of immigration law experience (preferably deportation-removal defense). The candidate must be fluent in both Spanish and English, admitted or about to be admitted to practice in New York State, and has some relevant experience (direct experience with Special Immigrant Juvenile cases, in a law school clinic/volunteer environment, preferred). Must have experience dealing with Federal Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Department of Homeland Security; specifically, appearing for Master Calendar Hearings and Hearings on Merits, attending U.S.C.I.S. interviews, and writing briefs on immigration-related matters.

Possesses excellent written and spoken communication skills; is fluent in technology, particularly the Microsoft Office suite; and able to successfully manage an independent caseload.
