Job Overview:
A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an experienced Architects and Engineer Errors and Omissions/Construction Defect Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a background in representing design professionals, developers, and contractors in complex construction defect property cases, with a strong trial track record at both state and federal levels. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to independently manage a caseload are essential, along with strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.

Duties:

• Represent design professionals, developers, and contractors in complex construction defect property cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to construction defect claims.
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.
• Attend and participate in court proceedings, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar; additional admissions in other jurisdictions are a plus.
• Should have 6 years of experience.
• Experience practicing law, with a focus on construction defect litigation.
• Experience needed for insurance defence, employment litigation, medical malpractice.
• Proven trial track record, including experience at both state and federal levels.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
