Mid-level Patent (Biochem) Prosecution Associate Attorney

San Diego office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks mid-level patent (biochem) prosecution associate attorney with 2-4 years of patent prosecution experience. The candidate will join the Intellectual Property and Technology practice. Will work collaboratively with members of the group on a variety of patent projects, including: Preparing and US and foreign patent applications and related documents, conducting literature searches and other research, patent matters related to biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals, client counseling, providing technical support as needed. Must have biochemistry background. PhD in either a biological or chemical science is required. Background in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and/or immunology is preferred. Postdoctoral and/or industry experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience drafting and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications essential. Should be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing.
