  • Negotiations: Represent clients in settlement discussions and negotiations to resolve cases favorably when appropriate.
  • Client Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with clients and carriers, keeping them informed on case progress and next steps.
  • Billing and Case Management: Submit timesheets daily, monitor billing processes, and audit and approve billing statements promptly.

Requirements:

  • California Bar Membership: Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Legal Expertise: Knowledge of civil litigation and health care defense practices, obtained through a combination of education and practical experience.
  • Ethics and Compliance: Strong commitment to ethical practice by the state's Rules of Professional Conduct.
  • Experience Level: 0-7 years of relevant experience in defense-oriented civil litigation.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the California State Bar (required).
