Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a talented litigation associate to handle a wide range of complex litigation matters. This role involves representing clients in diverse disputes including fiduciary responsibilities, pension plans, employee benefits, constitutional law, and various commercial and contractual issues. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage and represent clients in complex litigation matters, including fiduciary disputes, pension plans, constitutional law, employee benefits, and other commercial disputes.
  • Draft, review, and respond to written discovery, pleadings, motions, and legal briefs in state and federal court.
  • Assist with eDiscovery processes, document management, and case preparation.
  • Participate in depositions, trial preparation, and other aspects of litigation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy and execution.
  • Take ownership of assigned cases and projects, meeting deadlines and objectives.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong experience drafting legal documents (discovery, pleadings, motions, and briefs).
  • eDiscovery and deposition experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to take initiative.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California required.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with legal software and eDiscovery tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
