A law firm seeks an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney to join its Trusts, Estates, and Wealth Transfer group in Columbus, Ohio. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in advanced estate planning and trust administration who is ready to engage directly with clients and manage comprehensive legal tasks.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice on advanced estate planning and estate and trust administration matters.
  • Independently manage client interactions and oversee tasks associated with complex legal engagements.
  • Assist in fiduciary litigation, enhancing the firm's capabilities in this area (experience preferred but not required).
  • Work with tax-exempt organizations and provide tailored legal solutions to clients in this sector.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in estate planning and trust administration.
  • Active license to practice law in Ohio.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and manage cases effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Ohio Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective client communication.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
