Washington, D.C. office of an AmLaw firm seeks mid-level health law associate attorney with 4-6 years of experience. The candidate will counsel providers on fraud and abuse issues including matters involving the False Claims Act, the anti-kickback statute, the physician self-referral law (Stark Law), other federal health care laws (including the Medicare and Medicaid statutes), and regulations promulgated by CMS, OIG, DEA and FDA. Will provide advice on corporate governance and compliance matters arising out of external obligations and internal policies to ensure adherence with federal and state regulations. Participate in internal or parallel investigations when allegations of noncompliance with governing laws or regulations arise and counsel clients on risk mitigation when necessary; and provide litigation support in any criminal, civil, or administrative matter. Must have experience in addressing fraud and abuse issues and government criminal, civil, and/or administrative investigations. Litigation experience and an understanding of federal health care program payors is a plus.

The candidate must have a very strong academic record paired with the skills, enthusiasm and commitment to become a partner at this firm.
