Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Georgia to represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes, and real estate litigation. This role involves court appearances, case strategy development, document drafting, and settlement negotiations.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of contested matters for mortgage lenders and investors.
• Appear in court for routine and contested hearings.
• Communicate regularly with clients for updates and resolutions.
• Analyze loan files, title reports, and other documents.
• Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses.
• Conduct legal research and writing.

Requirements

• J.D. degree, licensed in Georgia, and in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant litigation experience, 5 years preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of motion practice experience.
• Minimum 2 years of courtroom experience.
• Knowledge of Georgia Mortgage Foreclosure Law.
• Knowledge of Georgia Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules.
• Experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial property.
