Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a skilled and driven mid-level Associate to join its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex IP litigation matters in federal courts while working collaboratively with a nationally integrated team. Candidates should bring a strong academic background, proven litigation experience, and a proactive mindset geared toward supporting and expanding a high-level national practice.

Location:

  • Miami, FL

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a broad range of IP litigation matters in federal courts

  • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex patent and IP issues

  • Manage discovery, including document review, depositions, and expert coordination

  • Participate in trial preparation and court proceedings

  • Collaborate with cross-office teams on litigation strategy and execution

  • Support the continued growth and development of a national IP litigation practice

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of intellectual property litigation experience

  • Experience with Federal Circuit matters preferred

  • Strong foundation in handling technical subject matter

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

  • Law school and undergraduate (and graduate, if applicable) transcripts required

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice

Skills:

  • Superior legal writing and research skills

  • Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage complex litigation independently and collaboratively

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused
