Milwaukee office of our client, a Chambers ranked law firm, is actively seeking associates to join our Environmental, Energy and Indian Nations Group. The candidate will help the clients develop and implement innovative environmental and energy solutions to achieve their goals for a wide variety of projects. Will provide guidance and represent clients in state, federal and tribal regulation policies in areas such as air quality, water quality, waste management and site remediation. Provide legal services for Tribal governments, including drafting resolutions, correspondence, contracts, agreements, amendments to tribal codes, policy and procedure, legal memoranda, intergovernmental agreements, pleadings and documents. Support clients with implementation of sustainability initiatives, including renewable energy projects. Lend subject matter environmental litigation support (both civil and administrative) with litigation team. Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff to provide high quality service to the clients. Perform other related duties as assigned. Should have 3+ years of experience. Must be admitted to practice or eligible for admission to practice in the State of Wisconsin. Should have an interest in environmental and energy solutions, including sustainability matters. Indian and tribal Law experience is preferred.

The candidate should have a JD degree from ABA accredited law school. Strong academic credentials are required. Possesses superior organizational and time management skills. Is detail-oriented and capable of a high degree of accuracy. Must exhibit superior verbal and written communication skills and comfort with both telephonic and face-to-face communications. Shares a commitment to client service, professional excellence, integrity and teamwork. Has proven ability to work within fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines and demands both internally and externally. Interest in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment with a strong desire to contribute to team and client success is needed.
