New Rochelle office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a family lawyer with 1-2 years of experience working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property). The candidate will zealously represent the clients in all areas of family law. Will assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings. Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action. Keep client files properly organized and up to date. Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases. Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process. Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action. Should have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as divorce, prenuptial agreements, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Must have an undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree. A proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants is essential.

The candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations. Should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high.
