A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Counsel, Mentoring and Case Strategy, to join its team. The successful candidate will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior attorneys, contributing to their professional development and the firm's success. This role involves advising on case development and strategy, conducting regular case reviews, and participating in attorney training systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trucking litigation, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering professional growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior attorneys.
  • Assist in the development and oversight of professional development plans for attorneys within WLG Dallas.
  • Participate in developing attorney training systems to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
  • Advise attorneys regarding proper case development, assessment, and valuation for all phases of litigation.
  • Contribute and collaborate with junior attorneys in the development of litigation and trial strategies, as well as negotiations in mediation and/or through direct negotiations.
  • Conduct regular case reviews to monitor and advise on attorney productivity and progress toward goals, providing feedback as needed.
  • Provide regular reporting regarding attorney performance, growth according to firm criteria, and progress toward individual and firm goals.
  • Provide input for annual performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional legal services.



  • 15+ years of experience litigating cases.
  • 10+ years of experience in trucking litigation, with significant time on the defense side.
  • Prior mentoring and development responsibilities of junior attorneys preferred.



  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for fostering professional growth.
  • Extensive trial experience.


Education and Certifications:

  • Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Current member, in good standing, of the State Bar of Georgia.
  • Admission to practice in Georgia Federal Courts preferred.
