Chattanooga office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a corporate/transactional attorney with 1 year of experience practicing in a relevant practice area. The candidate will handle a busy caseload, supporting the firm's attorneys in transactional matters. Lead and collaborate with the firm's transactional practice group on various transactional matters, which may include: stock sales, asset acquisitions, corporate formation, joint ventures and commercial agreements, succession planning, corporate governance matters, securities matters (including private placements), intellectual property (trademark), and banking and regulatory matters. Contribute to the firm's creditor rights practice by representing creditors, investors, and mortgage servicers in all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested cases. Support the firm's litigation practice as needed. Properly utilize the firm's case management system and reporting to ensure all applicable deadlines are met. Maintain a clear focus on firm, client, and court timeline expectations by prioritizing and working at a fast pace on a high volume of files. Previous securities, intellectual property, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or creditor rights experience is a plus. Must be licensed to practice law in at least one of the following states (GA, IL, KY, MA, MI, MN, OH, TN, WI). An attorney not licensed in the state of Tennessee on the date of hire will be required to seek admission. Admission to practice in federal district courts, bankruptcy courts, or federal courts of appeals is a plus. A portable book of business is also a plus. Must become proficient in video conferencing software such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams and utilize such systems as required by courts or the firm. Occasional travel may be required but is expected to be infrequent.
