Tampa office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a labor and employment attorney with 3+ years of experience as a practicing attorney with a focus on employment law. The candidate will meet with clients to ascertain their needs, choose the best course of action, and represent clients' interests at the negotiation table, administrative proceedings, and in court. Will assist with managing a diverse portfolio of cases in the employment practice group. Assists client companies in the management of their businesses with respect to compliance with various employment laws and regulations. This involves reviewing, revising, and/or preparing company policies and practices, employee handbooks, and various employment agreements; this also involves advising clients regarding specific employment circumstances or incidents. Represent clients in litigation, administrative investigations and proceedings, and dispute resolution proceedings (mediations and arbitrations). This position is a client-facing role with responsibilities that include consistent interactions directly with the client, preparing and responding to pleadings and discovery, court appearances, depositions, trial work, and strategic negotiations and dispute resolution. During the process, collaborate with other attorneys at the firm and (depending on experience) report to the supervising attorney(s) managing each of the assigned cases. Advise employers regarding various employment practices and compliance with applicable employment laws. Review, revise, and draft various employment policies, manuals, and agreements for employers. Consult with clients to ascertain the details and merits of each case. Conduct legal research. Draft and respond to legal pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Represent clients at meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Civil litigation experience is required. Must be admitted to practice law in Florida. Admission to other states would be a plus.

The candidate should demonstrate outstanding research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Familiarity with labor and employment law is required. The ability to write and advocate clearly, concisely, and persuasively is essential. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are needed. Must be proficient with MS Office Suite or related software. The ability to conceive, develop, and execute case strategies is a prerequisite.
