Charlotte office of our client seeks bankruptcy associate attorney with 1-2 of experience. The candidate will understand the foreclosure process. Will draft pleadings and motions. Represent client at contested and uncontested hearings. Communicate with clients on issues that may affect the foreclosure and advise on possible courses of action and likely range of outcomes. Handle a large caseload while attending hearings and overseeing paralegal staff. Minimum North Carolina, South Carolina or Maryland dual licensure a plus.

The candidate should have Juris Doctor degree. Must be able to meet billable hour goals monthly. Must have intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Word, and Excel. Basic understanding of the foundations of secured debt, unsecured debt, default, and collections (focus on U.C.C. rules, mortgages, and contracts) is required. Basic understanding of real property law, title to real and personal property, evictions is essential. Legal research and academic writing skills needed. Ability to travel to court and operate with minimal oversight is required. Strong background reviewing title work and handling title curative measures a plus.
