Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a Real Estate Counsel to join its dynamic Seattle office. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of experience handling a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and leasing. Experience in industrial or data center development and build-to-suit leasing is a plus. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys while gaining increasing levels of responsibility and client interaction. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and will possess excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Location:

  • Seattle, WA

Duties:

  • Manage and advise on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, and development projects.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review real estate documents such as purchase agreements, leases, and financing documents.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance on industrial and data center development projects and build-to-suit leases.
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers and take on increasing levels of client contact and responsibility.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of real estate matters.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, providing high-quality legal service and support.
  • Work as part of a team to drive the success of complex real estate transactions and projects.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in real estate transactions, including acquisitions and leasing.
  • Experience in industrial or data center development and/or build-to-suit leasing is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong academic credentials and a proven ability to handle complex real estate matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality client service and legal expertise.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State (or eligible to be licensed).

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in real estate law, including acquisitions, leasing, and development.
  • Knowledge of industrial, data center, and build-to-suit leasing transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficient in legal research and relevant real estate software/tools.
